Privacy Notice

This notice explains how information may be handled when you use the TGD Wellimed Centre Digital Assistant. It is a general notice for this assistant and should be reviewed and approved by the Centre before public launch.

Information you enter

Please do not enter medical histories, identity numbers, payment-card details, passwords, or other sensitive personal information into the chat. The assistant is intended for general questions about the Centre, services, appointments and product enquiries.

How chat messages are processed

When you send a message, the assistant's server processes it to prepare a response. Depending on which service credentials are configured for the assistant, the message and limited recent conversation context may be sent to an external language-model provider such as Groq, Google Gemini or OpenAI to generate that response. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies.

This application does not intentionally save chat conversations to a Centre-managed chat-history database. However, the hosting platform and service providers may process technical logs or request data as part of operating and securing their services. Their retention and processing settings should be reviewed by the Centre.

Bookings, WhatsApp and email

If you choose to book an appointment, contact the Centre through WhatsApp, or send an email, you will use the relevant third-party service. Their own privacy terms apply. Information you send directly to the Centre may be handled separately from this assistant.

Product order enquiries

The catalogue and basket prepare an order enquiry for you to send through WhatsApp. This website does not take payment, does not verify stock, and does not itself confirm an order. The Centre must confirm availability, delivery costs and payment instructions.

Medical information and emergencies

The assistant provides general information, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Do not rely on it for urgent care. In South Africa, call 112 from a mobile phone or 10177 for an ambulance in an emergency.

Questions or privacy requests

Before public launch

The Centre should confirm its privacy notice, data-protection responsibilities, provider settings, hosting logs and any applicable retention arrangements before embedding the assistant on its main website. This notice is not a legal compliance certification.
